Landscape photographer Daniel Kordan just found his perfect travel companion. The Z mount’s large diameter makes the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S capable of capturing shots with unprecedented sharpness, while the rugged build and precise engineering brace the lens for unpredictable weather and the toughest trails.
Today Samyang launched two new manual focusing lenses:

Within that brochure Nikon confirmed cheaper and non-S lenses will be announced “at a later date”. There is yet no rumor floating around the web about the possible specs of those lenses. I guess we will see the first of such lenses announced in late 2019.
We don’t know yet for sure how good or bad the Nikon Z sales are. But what we know for sure is that the system camera market is still dropping according to the latest CIPA report:
In Feb 2019 Japanese manufacturers shipped 35% less system cameras compared to last year. And this is really a very bad sign 🙁
Imaging Resource talked to a bunch of Nikon managers:
– Nikon does not expect the market to drop by 50% (like Canon predicted)
– Nikon will keep launching surprising and exciting products one after another
– Z-mount allows more symmetrical lens arrangement, so users will greatly benefit from the optical advantages.
There is also a lot of talk about the Z-mount tech but there is really nothing new there to see 🙂
