Nikon financial report shows imaging business increased profit despite market shrinkage

Nikon released their financial report today and there is some good and bad news:

Good: Fixed cost reduction and focus on high-value-added products increased profit despite market shrinkage
Bad: Did not reach the previous forecast as compact camera sales did not achieve the volume forecast
